Install Windows XP SP2 on MacBook Pro

- After boot to Windows XP install CD, choose to format BOOTCAMP Partition as NTFS or it won’t boot in future due to limitation of FAT32 arcording to partition size.

Use rsync to synchronize directories/backup

rsync -rtvlz –progress –size-only /home/    /media/usb_disk/home/back_up/

-r copies also all subdirectories within main directory
-t preserves modification times
-v verbose mode, shows more information
-l copies symbolic links
-z compresses files for faster transfer
–progress shows progress during transfer
–size-only compare files based on their size instead of hashes (less CPU, so faster)

Gimp 2.6 crash, xvnkb và hành động của chúng ta

Hành động của chúng ta là ăn sẵn nên:
1. lấy src của xvnkb về từ cvs, cách lấy dư lào thì có cỗ bày sẵn rồi, giả sử lưu src này vào ~/download/
2. wget http://xvnkb.sourceforge.net/xvnkb/gimp-segfault.patch
3. mở terminal
4. $cd ~/download/xvnkb
5. $ patch -i ../gimp-segfault.patch
patching file Makefile.common
patching file xvnkb.c
$ ./autogen.sh
$ ./configure –use-abcstroke –use-extstroke –no-spellcheck
6. $make && make install

PS: tác giả bẩu đây là work around thôi nên chưa merge vào main code. bao giờ có khắc biết, khỏi thắc mắc, nhá!
